About the Ranni Bonsai team

Hi and thanks for checking out my humble webstore.
I'm Jaime, a Denver based bonsai artist. For the last year I have been studying at First Branch Bonsai, and have gone back to school to work on getting a degree. Recently I have begun providing assistant, watering, and styling services but I have a bit of a hard time considering myself a "Bonsai Professional"... even though this has become my livelihood. I consider myself somewhere on the edge of intermediate/advanced skill level wise, and I am proud of what I have learned and accomplished in the 3 years I have been working on trees.
Bonsai is not a hobby or a job to me, but a passion. In some ways I have let my life become centered around taking care of and styling trees. Think a sap and dirt covered starving artist.
As I begin to grow and develop Ranni Bonsai (pronounced "Rainy"), it is very important to me to partner with others. I would not have found the success I have so far without the amazing community of practitioners I have met through The Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society. Some of the wonderful artists, be they local or visiting guests, I have met have sat down with me for interviews over on my YouTube. I am in talks with a few others to partner up and help their trees and ceramics find homes. I am also in the process of securing a location to host beginners classes, which will hopefully start up in the spring. Lots of irons in the fire.
As everything solidifies, it's important to me that the other artists are fairly compensated and given proper credit for their role. That being said, I am trying to make a living on the internet and that means playing the game. I want to be upfront that I have become an Amazon Affiliate, and some things will be fulfilled by them earning me a small commission. Please understand that other items, made by real artists will carry a bit of a higher price tag to make sure everyone is paid fairly.
It's an exciting time for me, and it has been a flood of emotions. Dang these trees are worth it though. There is no real path for me to follow, but I know this is the way forward for me and I have one heck of a mentor guiding me.
