About Us

I'm Jaime Harrington, and when I started practicing bonsai four years ago, I was fortunate to find a welcoming and supportive community. That encouragement fueled my growth, and I quickly realized that to truly progress in this art, I needed to make it my career. While balancing school and work, I’ve been growing Ranni Bonsai into a resource for both new hobbyists and experienced enthusiasts—offering education, services, and a shared appreciation for the art. Through Ranni Bonsai, I provide a variety of bonsai assistant services to the Denver metro area, offering not just a competent pair of helping hands, but a deep passion for the art.

Ranni Bonsai has grown thanks to the incredible support of the local community, and I’m inspired to pay that forward. The opportunities I was given to learn and grow in bonsai drive me to foster the same sense of inclusion and accessibility for others. Our YouTube channel reflects that mission, working to demystify bonsai for new hobbyists while also shining a spotlight on dedicated members of the bonsai community.

I work with a variety of trees, with a focus on Colorado natives and classic species. To me, bonsai is more than an art—it’s a way to find zen and reconnect with nature in the modern world.

I’ve been fortunate to study under Todd Schlafer and serve on the board for the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society, Pikes Peak Bonsai Society, and Purple Pot Society. Whether through teaching, assisting, or sharing knowledge online, my goal is to help others experience the beauty and fulfillment that bonsai brings.
